DJ DUANE @ Connect
The vibe was so thick I wondered if Roy Davis Jr. was in the HOUSE again!
Mr. Synclair, 4Deep’s own opened the night with stellar deep vocals and funky San Fran House tracks. Hits included Fred Everything/Lisa Shaw’s, “Here I Am” and Darryl D’Bonneau’s, “The Spirit.” The crowd thickened and by the time DJ Duane took the decks the floor was packed to capacity during the fourth of July three day weekend.
San Diego’s finest, DJ Duane rocked the diverse crowd (blacks, whites, gays, straights and everyone in between) during his 3rd visit to Connect. Stand out tunes of the night included; the crowd roaring, Peven Everett’s, “Kicking Up Dust,” Marlon D’s floor thumping, “Jesus Creates Sound” and vocalist, Jill Scott’s, “My Love.” What about Mr. Synclair leading the crowd chanting, “Everybody Needs Somebody” from Ruffneck/Yahvan’s, “Everybody Be Somebody.” Clearly Atlanta once again represented and went to another level!
